During one week in June, teams of veterinary volunteers provide routine preventative care for horses, cattle, chickens, goats, pigs, rabbits, dogs and cats—along with medical and surgical care including large and small animal castrations and spays.
What started as one team serving six remote villages has grown to four veterinary teams serving 24 rural villages, and helping thousands of small and large animals and hundreds of Honduran farmers.
The mission serves the people of Honduras in other ways. The team builds water tanks in villages with little or no access to fresh water, and (thanks to a Honduran dentist) provides dental services for the residents of the villages.
This video was created to show some of our work, & help raise funds for new roofs for the mission team's dormitory & the local community center of our home village (base camp).
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions in rural Honduras communities. Your generous donation funds our mission.
We are looking for veterinarians and veterinary students to join us. Bi-lingual helpful, but not required. Tell us about yourself by using the Contact Us form above or email us at info@FOMVetMission.com
